We've arrived safely in South Korea and everything is going swimmingly!! We're set up in our new apartment and start work tomorrow morning. We're in a local PC Bang (Internet Cafe) and will put up some pics of our departure from Toronto.
You can see our flight attendants get on the plane first. Then a parade of wheelchairs. Then us. The flight went by quicker than expected. We were served BiBimBap for dinner and Korean style porridge for breakfast. They gave us blankets and pillows and toothbrushes and face masks and socks. Really quite nice!
We waited nervously for our baggage containing a years worth of stuff and then went out to find a taxi driver with our names on a sign.
The taxi took us and another teacher to Osan, dropped her off and then took us to Yeoju-Gun. He helped us with our bags and dropped us off in an empty apartment which we presumed was ours (it is) About 3hours in Pearson, 14 hours in the sky, and 2 1/2 on the road - it was 5AM and we were tired . . . but our co teacher was to come to pick us up at 8:30 . . .
